My journey with Matsu Midwifery and Family Health started 13 and 11 years ago when my two daughters were born here. Over the course of the last 10 years, I have served as both a Birth Assistant and a member of the Community Advisory Board here, which has nurtured my love for natural childbirth and fostered an even greater appreciation for this amazing group of midwives and medical providers. Motherhood has been a joy and a privilege for me personally, and I love to encourage and mentor new moms. Over the last 7 years, I have enjoyed time as both volunteer and staff member at HeartReach Center mentoring young moms and peer-counseling women and men facing unexpected pregnancy. With my husband of 17 years, our family enjoys road-tripping in Alaska, from Deadhorse to Homer and everything in between.
